The Meaning of Small Gifts

Updated: Mar 18

A keepsake, a memento, a token, and a reminder that you think about someone.

I've learned so much about gift giving from my customer while I listen to them deliberate over which ornament to get for whom. They give it some serious thought, but not too much.

Sometimes and often a gift is just a reminder that you think about someone, and it says as much about you as it does about them.

I love this thought. I love that something meaningful can be simple.

I think my customers knew this before I did. My experience just listening to them has driven this artwork to a level of simplicity and restraint that I don't think I would have reached without them.

Cats or dogs...snowflakes or stars...circles, hearts or diamonds. It can be simple details that remind us of the people we know.

Or just, "This made me think of you..."

It feels so good to hear someone say that. And it feels good to say it as well.
